The necktie is holding up progress. In the late 1990's business was trending to a better way of managing the company and interconnecting with customers and other businesses. The term Business 2.0 was coined along with a magazine of the same name and proponents of the concept, numerous articles, and seminars. This trend stopped in 2000. Instead of companies, and government, operating more efficiently and effectively, embracing new ideas and new technology solutions, managements in business and government alike fell back into traditional paradigms, stodgy thinking, and general status quo. I blame this on the necktie - here's why.
